Potters Place is a cooperative, 501(c)(3) non-profit, pottery studio and school. In March of 2021 we moved out of our Walpole home to our new location at 6 Merchant St. in Sharon, MA.

We are pleased to offer our very popular hand-building and wheel-throwing programs for children, teens and adults of all levels in accordance with Covid-19 protocols.

Potters Place is now a ‘mask friendly’ studio. By “mask friendly”, we mean that we want everyone to feel comfortable making the decision on wearing a mask depending upon their individual circumstances. If individuals have compromising health conditions or other reasons to wear masks, we encourage this and ask others to be respectful of individual decisions.

Whether you are interested in a one-time workshop or a 6-week series, our skilled instructors will inspire you to create functional and sculptural works of ceramics art. Most of our member artists started out as our students.

Support for our Community

“We were thrilled when Lizanne Donegan contacted us about being selected as the benefiting charity for the Holiday Potters Place Show in 2018. I had always loved the creative pottery of the artists at Potters Place, but had no idea they contributed to a charity every show.

The Holiday Show was a HUGE success! The potters created a table and each donated pieces that would 100% benefit our organization and Confikids received $1600 from their efforts. We were amazed at their generosity and loved meeting all of the individuals who shared their talent to benefit the kids we serve.

Many people know Potters Place as a great venue to buy beautiful pottery for gifts or their own home. Many might not realize that this group gives to local charity regularly and it is an important role in their mission as a collaborative.

Our organization loved working with Potters Place and benefiting from your efforts. We can not thank you enough! “
