Show & Sale Charitable Projects

We hold our popular Pottery Sales twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall. The Sale Committee for the sale chooses a charity that is near to their hearts and our members donate pottery to be sold for the benefit of that charity. 100% of the proceeds of the sales from these tables are donated to the charity. We are grateful to our members, who generously donate their pottery to be sold for these important causes, and to our supportive customers who enthusiastically make purchases from these donation tables. These sales are one of the ways that we have been able to make a difference in our community.

We filled our gallery with pottery donated by our members that was sold for the benefit of New England Wildlife Centers at our Spring 2024 Indoor Sale. This important cause was chosen by our sale team, Helayne Ramirez, Erica Lockwood and Arlyn Bonfield. The New England Wildlife Centers provides veterinary and rehabilitative care to sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals. In the process of caring for these patients they educate members of the public and spread the message of environmental conservation. In this way they offer a real-life and engaging opportunity to teach the life sciences to K-12 students and the public. NEWCS receives no federal or state funding.  Thank you for helping us support this worthy cause by shopping from our donation table, 100% of these sales are going to NEWCS.

In keeping with our mission, Potters Place members donated pottery to be sold for the benefit of Gilly’s House, a men’s addiction treatment center in Wrentham. This very worthy cause was chosen by our Autumn 2023 Outdoor Sale team, Jeannette McGillicuddy, Lana MacDonald and Emily Miller. One hundred percent of the sales from this table, $700, was donated to Gilly’s House. Thank you to our members for their pottery donations, and thank you to our customers for shopping from this table.

“We were thrilled when Lizanne Donegan contacted us about being selected as the benefiting charity for the Holiday Potters Place Show in 2018. I had always loved the creative pottery of the artists at Potters Place, but had no idea they contributed to a charity every show.

The Holiday Show was a HUGE success! The potters created a table and each donated pieces that would 100% benefit our organization and Confikids received $1600 from their efforts. We were amazed at their generosity and loved meeting all of the individuals who shared their talent to benefit the kids we serve.

Many people know Potters Place as a great venue to buy beautiful pottery for gifts or their own home. Many might not realize that this group gives to local charity regularly and it is an important role in their mission as a collaborative.

Our organization loved working with Potters Place and benefiting from your efforts. We can not thank you enough! “
